Has invisible braces helped your teeth?

I am currently wearing Clearstep braces which are the same as Invisalign. I've been wearing them for just over a year now and i think i have about 6 more months to go (my teeth were real bad all they have been doing for the last 6 months are moving my teeth back and now they are working on rotating my two front teeth). i was just wondering if anyone else has worn something like them and how bad your teeth were to begin with? What was the end result like and were u pleased with it?

I would also love to see some before and after shots.

Thanks in advance for all ur input

Question about braces and false teeth on a retainer?

I'm getting my braces off in two weeks. I'm missing about 8 adult teeth (my wisdom teeth and 4 others...) and my top retainer will have 2 teeth on it (i'm missing both of my canines). My question is, is it hard to eat with the false teeth? has anyone had them or had the same problem as me? My ortho. really hasnt said much about it when i asked him.

Any advice from any of you people that have had the same problem? I hope I made sense...

Question about braces and false teeth on a retainer?
My friend has false teeth and she eats just fine. Maybe its cause she is used to it but dont worry. I am sure you will be able to eat. Good luck!
Reply:I have complete dentures. I do not wear adhesive as they fit properly. I can eat corn on the cob now.

My own teeth were all in such bad shape they had to be pulled. Before I got dentures I could not eat many foods and now I can eat almost everything except some caramel that gets stuck.
Reply:My BF has false teeth and he has no problem with eating just has to glue them in every 3 days. My dad has a false tooth and he does not have any problem at all. You should not have any problem.

Braces/really crooked teeth?

im 14 and i have very crooked teeth, well mainly in the fornt. i feel really insecure because of it, and truthfully i think im pretty ok looking but the teeth just makes it all bad. when i laugh i have my lips closed tight. its kind of annoying but anyways, do braces really straighten them all up and make them look perfect? or is there any way to make them straight and aligned?

Braces/really crooked teeth?
Braces will definitely fix your teeth. The best way to start is to make an appointment with an orthodontist. He will do an consultation and suggest what to do. Best of luck!
Reply:Braces will make your teeth straight, I would think thats you best option.

Braces Soreness and teeth being loose/?

Well, I've Had braces for about 6-7 days now and bottom have of my mouth is still REALLY sore, also when i bush my teeth or anything of the sort my teeth feel loose. Is this normal? Please Message me back. Thank you!!!

Braces Soreness and teeth being loose/?
yeah its normal. Actually your mouth is not used to the force being applied by the braces. Also the braces are like a foreign object in your mouth so they take a little time getting used to.

You can have severe pain in the K-9's also a little bit of bleeding. Your mouth will feel sore everytime the doc changes the wires.
Reply:Everything is probably OK, but if you're still worried in the morning have your mom or dad speak to your orthodontist just to make sure. Braces make your teeth shift, so you're going to feel those things. Doesnt' hurt to check in and make sure things are OK. As you get used to your braces you'll learn what feelings are normal after an adjustment and when to be concerned.
Reply:that's totally normal and your mouth will be sore every time after you get your braces adjusted. take some advil/tylenol/ibu profin to take the pain away.
Reply:Yes. Absolutely normal. They feel loose because the braces are actually moving your teeth around, and they're sore because the braces are moving your teeth around. If they still hurt really badly after several more days, though, you might have reason to be concerned. The pain should subside in a few more days.
Reply:Yes it is normal. The idea of having braces is to shift teeth around,to move them to the right position. That is why they are moving and when they move,it gets sore.Hang in there. It's long slow process.
Reply:yes this i very normal. Your teeth feel loose because they are moving around in your mouth. Your mouth is going to be sore for a few more days and then every time you get them tightened they may be sore again. All i have to say is if the pain hurts alot you shoud take advil or excedrin or whatever. SO yes this is all normal

Braces - cement between teeth.?

I had braces put in last week and there's this one spot between my front teeth that has cement on it. The pain is gone but I feel pressure from the spot where there's cement between my teeth. The cement is pretty hard and I can't floss this spot. Is this normal? I figured it would break off in a week or so but it hasn't. I don't know if it's going to slow the process.

Braces - cement between teeth.?
CEMENT ! why not just have them mig welded
Reply:Head back over to the dentist and have him chip the cement out with a pick and smooth it.
Reply:ooo i had that :) i went to the ortho and they scraped it off. i can try picking at it w/ a tooth pick , but dont damage ur teeth. hope the braces go well :0
Reply:No its not normal. You need to call your orthodontist to have them remove it. Its next to impossible for you to get off. I think it great you floss !! Give them a call you will feel much better.
Reply:If it's annoying go back to your ortho...if it's not, you are probably going back in 2-3 weeks anyway, you can have it fixed then. It's not a big deal for now.

Will braces help my teeth grinding and receeding gums?

I have a overbite and pretty bad crowding. They said to get braces i'd have to have teeth pulled first, to make room so the rest can be straight. I grind my teeth and have gum recession. Will getting them straight stop my teeth grinding? And help prevent further gum recession?

Will braces help my teeth grinding and receeding gums?
yes they will good luck
Reply:Most likely to both. Malpositioned teeth are a huge contributing factor to grinding and gum recession.
Reply:Braces are made to keep your teeth straight.

Anybody who experienced braces on their teeth?

Soon I will have to get braces to get my jaw corrected because it pops every time I open my mouth. Well, I've been through everything with my teeth when I was little all the way up until high school. Now, I have to get braces. I am going to try and talk my dad into letting me get the clear braces for the simple fact I heard that there's is less trouble, and u don't have to deal with wire. Plus, I am a theatre major and I don't think I want to have wire in my mouth for auditions and acting and stuff. But from what somebody told me tonight, u still have to deal with the painful rubber bands. I always thought that you can attach them on and take them out whenever you eat or want to brush and floss your teeth. If you have been through the braces experience or know somebody that's been through the experience, can u help me and give me ideas on what I should do? Clear or wire?

Anybody who experienced braces on their teeth?
I assume by clear you mean the invisalign ones. I had braces, but the clear brackets, and my wire was very thin, hardly noticable. Most people didn't even notice I had braces. The few who did noticed because I either told them or because I started lisping a bit when I first got them in (took a while to get used to).

I use invisalign now as my retainer, but its such a pain....my dentist told me I cant brush them with toothpaste or use mouthwash with them because the chemical damages the plastic. Have to take them off to eat, drink, etc.....I only wear them to sleep and sometimes if I'm just around the house, but frankly it sounds like too much of a hassle to have to put them on and off. And I believe you have to visit your dentist more frequently to be refitted. The clear brackets really aren't that bad.
Reply:It seems like you've already sold yourself on clear braces which are cosmetically more appealing. You just have to be able to afford them. And since you're getting them to align your jaw, there's no getting around the rubberbands.
Reply:clear braces are more appealing but they do cost extra. i got braces because my over bite waz so bad it waz hard 2 eat. i myself got the clear 1s and i would have 2 say, hardly any1 notices them. the only bad thing about clear braces is that they are slightly bigger and bulgier than regular braces giving ure lip a little more stuck out feeling or it makes it hard for u to completly close ure lips. in your situation clear would b fine if u have the money but they take a little longer 2 get used 2
