Can you get braces with decayed teeth?!?

So I'm getting braces next month or so; and i was wondering can you get braces if you have decayed teeth? Or does the orthodontist will remove it before putting the braces?

Can you get braces with decayed teeth?!?
That depends on what you mean by "decayed". If the teeth are so bad they should be removed, then the braces will be pointless. If a few fillings are needed between teeth or on the biting surface of the tooth, a dentist can work around the braces.
Reply:If you have decayed teeth the orthodontist will probably reccommend that you back to the dentist for a consultation before getting the braces. Depending on how decayed the teeth are, they will decide to either pull them or cap them. From there the orthodontist can apply the braces.
Reply:not a dentist but they probally will remove the bad teeth before they put the braces on your teeth
