A friend has had his braces on his teeth for 3 years and now it has been two years without seeing the orthodontist.
What happens when braces on your teeth are left on for too long without othodontic involvement for two years?
The teeth will just remain in that position without adjustment...
So if he's not at the very last stage, he's not done..
Reply:Well leaving braces on with out orhto care can cause several problem... scaring of the enamel and root resorption are just two things that this can cause. The scaring is in my opinion the worst where the brackets are cemented on the tooth when removed will leave a white discoloration. Your friend needs to get back on a schedule with the orthodontist.

Leaving braces on without orthodontic supervision can lead to many problems.
I'm assuming that your friend (or your friend's parents) owe the orthodontist money and he won't take the braces off until he gets paid. As horrible as this is, I've heard of it before.
He needs go to the orthodontist and be evaluated.
