Do braces make your teeth nicer or less attractive?

Tell me what you think about having braces on your teeth are they a waste of time and money or do they really make your teeth nicer...?

Do braces make your teeth nicer or less attractive?
While you've got them on they can make you a little shy of showing your teeth, but once they are off, yes...they make a significant difference.

Braces aren't adviced unless some correction work needs to be done on teeth.

People who've worn braces in their childhood often have the nicest, straightest teeth when they're older.
Reply:They do really make your teeth prettier ... I have installed them for about 4 months now ... and I can see the difference already .. the teeth are becoming more arranged and aligned ... they are not a waste of time .. but you will need to have good care of them ... specially that they take time to be done with .. sometimes a year or more ..

Hope you good luck
Reply:While they asre on they suck but they do straighten your teeth. It's up to you to decide if being dorky for a few years is worth having straight teeth.
Reply:that depends on :

the reason for going for braces

the way you take care of your teeth while wearing braces

your compliance

your choice of an orthodontist..

you see.. with those wires your periodontum is actually been played with.. some forces are applied and you get bone resorption in certain areas and bone apposition in the opposite areas according to what needs to be moved..

if a case is properly diagnosed.. a proper treatment plan is set up.. you end up with a perfect smile..

ofcorse thats if you follow all instructions..

hope things go perfectly well for you .
Reply:I had braces for four years, and hated it at the time. They were painful and unsightly and I felt like a huge dork. But now that I have had them off for five years, I am SO glad I had them! My teeth are PERFECT and I get complimented all the time. Definitely not a waste of time or money, they are worth it! You just have to make sure you take proper care of them and brush your teeth a minimum of twice a day, and yes, you still have to floss (your orthodontist can give you these special floss-threaders for people with braces).
