Do braces make it harder to brush your teeth and increase chances in bacteria stuck on your teeth? I have heard cases of people have yellow stains but I'm not sure if they could be scraped off.

this is not a first source answer, but my friend just got braces for the first time. she said that it's not hard, except when the food gets stuck in your braces. in order to prevent infections she has to brush her teeth everytime she eats and keep them clean. I hope this helps you :)

Reply:Braces don't worsen your teeth. They will get yellow if you drink soda or coffee. As long as you always brush your teeth and use the little brush to reach spaces between the braces you will be ok. Finish with a mouthwash and voila! You're good to go!

Reply:People I've seen with braces do have yellow stains and also terrible breath. If you do decide to get them,talk to your orthrodontist or dentist tips on keeping them clean and fresh.
