I want braces because my teeth are all crucked and have massive gaps but the authodontist says i dont need...?

them. My teeth look really bad and all my friends teeth are really straight. Everyone except for parents and orthodontist thinks i need braces.

it could be because your bite is fine...they dont just look at the crookedness of your teeth its also how your teeth shut when you close your mouth...if you cannot get braces now you can always later get some cosmetic dentistry to fix them...

but you could always prove your responsibility to them and take really good care of your teeth, then tell them u just want your teeth to be straighter, even by a little bit.
Reply:if theyve said u dont need braces, perhaps, there are some other alternatives available? there are other products that can give you the same effect as braces...have you tried asking the orthodontist if there are some other options for the teeth you have the problems with? perhaps a plate or something else may solve the issues you have with them?

Reply:Get a second opinion from another orthodontist. If that one says you don't need braces, then you probably don't - remember, they get money for having patients, so they're likely to say you need them even if you only need them a little bit.





It's human nature to be way too overly critical of ourselves... perhaps your teeth look fine to everyone else! :)





Anyway, get that second opinion and express your concerns to that orthodontist!

even my teeth are not straight..my frnt 2 teeth r really big....(dnt tell ne1 but when i look myself in mirror.....sometime i like like a raccon/rabbit!!)......lolzz
Reply:Orthodontics , there are 2 reasons one is for health and the other is for beauty , They are very expensive, If you are really serious save up .Many adults have this procedure done, when you have a job with dental insurance Ir pays less then half.
