I just gor rubber bands with my braces and my teeth hurt sooo bad?

I've had braces for about a year and now i just got rubber bands. My teeth hurt so bad and i can barely open my mouth lol HELP!!

When you get your elastics on, yeah it might hurt..


You can't do anything about it Lol.


Try sleeping, because you'll just forget about the pain.

Reply:you know,you could adjust those things,did your dentist tell you?maybe when you see your dentist again he will fix this for you. hang in there.i know someone who had the rubber bands too and once he was in class when he yawned one of his rubberbands broke loose and flew out of his mouth. lol.
Reply:its usual for your mouth to hurt, just give it a while and you'll get used to it; but if you dont, you can explain it to your orthodontist, and he might make them more loose.
Reply:ok I am going to be honest. I never wore my rubber bands and my orthodontist never notices, and the same thing happened to like three of my friends. If it hurts too much- just take them off.
Reply:Tylenol, Advil, or any number of other anti inflammatories can help immensely.





Also try an oral analgesic, which helps to numb your mouth. Your local drug store should carry these items.
